C525-Series Citationjet Type Rating
The Initial Type Rating in accordance with JAR is conducted by an ideal combination of flying lessons on practically new Citation Jets and in the modern Citation CJ1+ simulator of Lufthansa Flight Training (LFT). The trainee will be prepared thoroughly and systematically in the flight simulator. Normal and abnormal procedures will be completetly illustrated and practiced - especially critical system failures which you do not wish to experience and cannot train on real flights. After completing simulator training the trainee will have the ability to fly the aircraft in a self-contained and safe manner. The following flight training on practically new Citation Jets provides the student with the opportunity to apply this newly gained knowledge on the aircraft and to complement this knowledge by experiencing the authentic sense of acceleration.
This combination of practical flight experience and simulated incidents leads to maximum results with an uncompromising and complete training spectrum. This successful learning process cannot be achieved by sheer simulator training or exclusively taking flying lessons on the aircraft.
The training program is supplemented by modern learning aids: computer based training via internet relying on LFTs schooling programs, a Cockpit Procedure Trainer and a Collins Virtual Avionics Trainer. Naturally we will provide all checklists and conventional learning aids, such as operation manuals and other related schooling material for training purposes. This way allows to study prior to simulator training and flying lessons in order to keep time on site as short as possible.
